Our Values.

We are a non-profit foundation obsessed with access and equity within education. We subscribe to the school of mindful innovation and build software designed to advance humanity. If that’s too lofty for you, let’s say it another way: we believe you have to do good to be good.

eKadence's acronym: Education, Knowledge, Advancement, Development, Evolve, Nurture, Community, and Enhancement.

What does eKadence stand for?

The name eKadence is a play on the word “cadence”. A cadence can most easily be defined as a rhythmic sequence. The pace and movement at which communication happens. Within education this can refer to the pace at which students are able to master concepts. Within the work environment a cadence can be referred to when, where and how a team regularly meets and where team members have an opportunity to share views and information.

Cadence is an important theme for our team as it relates to all stages of education and development including continuing education in the workplace.

Education. Knowledge. Advancement. Development. Evolve. Nurture. Community. Enhancement. Our name is an acronym for the most important elements of our software.

DEI Statement

Students today face an unprecedented set of challenges. And while technology by itself isn't the solution, when it's done right—and aligned with the goals of teachers, parents, counselors and schools—it has the potential to contribute to a better world for all of us and help unlock the potential of every student.
